Spring 2022

How is it spring 2022 already? I finally managed to move from the sofa and visit the local park to blow away the cobwebs. For the spiritual people, it’s the astrological new year this month, which makes so much more sense than the new year in January. For me anyway! Everything is growing again, even in cold Scotland. These pictures are from Victoria Park in Aberdeen, where I’ve been living for the past year. It’s so nice to see the crocuses and daffodils blooming again.
In an effort to get outside more I’ve recently dug out this old post. 25 things I could be doing instead of shopping this spring. Judging from the optimism of the post I was living somewhere warmer when I wrote it ha. But I’ve taken a few ideas and will be applying them throughout the season. One, in particular, is hiking. The countryside in Scotland is beautiful and rugged, especially when the weather warms up. P.S. I’ve taken to talking about the weather a lot more since I’m living in Scotland again!
With regards to my wardrobe, I’m as sustainable as ever… The reason is the shopping in Aberdeen is so bad and I haven’t been buying anything new. I’m wearing the same Veja trainers as a few years before. They’ve worn in well and I will be buying another pair soon if I could only decide on the colour! I’m also using the same reusable bag from Baggu that I purchased around four years ago. I’ve lost the pocket to store it but still refuse to give up the bag itself. And the jeans are my trusty favourites from Weekday, they use organic cotton which is always a plus as well as no elastane or lycra.
