What I Wore From 12th to 18th of February.
At the start of the year, I decided to keep a log of the outfits I was wearing. That didn’t go to plan so I decided to photolog them instead. Most of the clothes this week are from my winter capsule wardrobe unless otherwise noted.
I bought the red patterned wrap dress (above) last year. It was a secondhand buy from eBay. The dress originally came from Hobbs, a British high street store. I often look for Hobbs clothes secondhand as they tend to be better quality and use nicer fabrics than the majority of high street shops. I think it’s still important to look for quality even if I’m shopping secondhand. It’s important to me that the clothes fit well and last a long time.
I’ve worn this skirt and jumper combo a lot this past winter so thought I would mix it up with a belt over the top. I bought the belt on a trip to France a year or two ago. It’s from a little shop in a tiny touristy village. The woman was so nice and punched extra holes in the belt in the perfect place for me. It’s one of my most worn belts because I can wear it both on the waist and the hips.
Mud Jeans do the perfect black skinny jeans, or at least they would be if I was a foot taller! A Dutch brand and I definitely don’t have dutch length legs. I’ve cut the bottom off but could also have got them tailored. I quite like the raw edge at the bottom though. Mud Jeans take back the jeans when you no longer want them anymore, they sell them again secondhand or shred them down to make into new jeans.
This outfit is a few of the same elements from the past few days, changed around slighty. It’s getting warmer in Berlin but still chilly in the mornings and evenings so this cardigan is still in constant rotation.
You might remember I talked about this coat last week. Cos informed me that it is made of organic cotton. I have to say I’m not totally sure I believe them. However I love the coat so will wear it with pride for the years to come.
Those furry guys know how to pose! The cardigan is secondhand cashmere from Oxfam. The jeans are organic cotton from Weekday – they do a shorter leg which I’m forever thankful for. And these are my trusty boots from Everlane again.
The jumper is one of the oldest pieces in my wardrobe that I bought new. It’s a cotton jumper from Topshop, maybe ten years ago or possibly longer. It has a metallic thread through it that has helped it last so long. I don’t wear it that much but enough to keep it going in my warbrobe. I went without tights for most of the day but gave up with the bare legs by late afternoon!
