A continuing photolog of my day to day outfits, cataloguing what I really wear from my capsule wardrobe.
I’m starting to think I always wear this breton top on a Monday. Or maybe just the past few weeks anyway. It’s one of the reasons I started this experiment, to see if there were any patterns in the outfits I choose to wear. This outfit look decidedly dull until I paired it with the belt. I posted on instagram about my love for belts and judging by everyones reaction, they can be a love or hate accessory. I’m definitely in the love camp!
Berton Top – Mon Breton
Skirt – Bought secondhand from Etsy
Tights – Swedish Stockings
Boots – Everlane
It has been a long long time since I wore white jeans. So long infact that it would have been my mum washing them instead of me! Unfortunately it’s now down to me to keep my clothes clean which is maybe why it took me so long to pick up a white pair. These are new this past week, they are the exact same style as the blue pair that I wear on repeat. I know I’m going to be wearing them all spring and summer but I might take a tea towel with me to sit on when I leave the house!
Jeans – Weekday
Cardigan – Reformation
Boots – Dear Frances
I love these trousers. They are originally from Boden but I bought them secondhand from Oxfam. To be honest, it is a bit of a gamble to buy seconhand trousers online. Only for the fact it is impossible to return them for a different size. Although Oxfam do except returns, I’m living in Germany so it’s more of a faff to return. The trousers needed approx a meter and a half taken off the length but apart from that they fit fine!
Top – Scotch & Soda
Trousers – Oxfam
Shoes – Gucci
A blazer is perfect for transitional weather in spring and autumn. I found this one in a vintage shop in Amsterdam. It’s a little big but I wanted an oversized fit so it ended up being perfect. The brown colour worked well in the autumn but I actually like it for spring too.
Blazer – Betty Jane
Shirt – Vestaire Collective
Jeans – Weekday
Shoes – Gucci
This cardigan is so thick that I can got away with no tights. In hindsight I should have invested in a pair of tights that are thinner than my winter ones. I’m not going to bother now but will invest in a few pairs when the weather starts to cool down for Autumn.
Cardigan – Reformation
Skirt – Oxfam
Boots – Everlane
This cardigan was an eBay purchase. I’m usually meticulous when it comes to reading and rereading the description before buying but somehow missed that this was a cropped cardigan. Oh the disappointment when I tried it on! A few months later and I actually like the cropped length. I wear it closed with high waisted jeans and skirts and leave it open or wear another layer underneath.
Cardigan – Bought secondhand from eBay
Jeans – Weekday
Shoes – Gucci
A very old trench coat from Zara. A shop I no longer buy from because I’ve seen too many times the hurt they cause when they rip off designs from small brands. Maybe the worst thing – they get away with it too.
Coat – Zara
Trousers – Oxfam
Shoes – Gucci
