The flax plant is used to produce linen. Initially, the stems were used for basket weaving long before the fibre was used to make textiles. Cultivation of the flax plant has been widespread in Europe, The Middle East and Africa. The ancient Egyptians used it to dress if they could afford it. Linen had a resurgence in the 1990s as people began to take more care about the ecological impact of textiles and clothes. Moreover, linen is very easy to grow, launder and wear. Also, it is durable and resilient to mould – if it is stored clean and dry and is breathable.
A timeless dress with a pretty sash to tie around the waist. It comes in this bright mustard colour or you can choose from twenty-three other colours. It’s handmade in Ukraine using medium weight linen.

A wrap dress is flattering for most body shapes, this checked one is made from 100% linen. It comes in sizes XXS to XXL and is made in Lithuania.

It’s another wrap dress but I had to include it because it’s so pretty! It’s handmade in the UK.
This is a favourite of mine. I’ve been wearing it all summer and autumn. I’ll continue to wear it into the winter with tights and boots. It’s a cotton jersey on the top and linen on the bottom. Super comfy!
