Capsule Wardrobe – Spring 2020

It’s been a few years now that I’ve curated a capsule wardrobe each season. I toyed with the idea of scrapping the spring wardrobe and going straight to summer. But there really are four seasons here in Germany weather-wise! I think I get over-excited at first sight of sunshine, however not enough to sit freezing in shorts all evening. It’s been a bizarre few months with the majority of time being spent at home. So like everyone else, I haven’t been dressing up at all.

Looking back at last years spring capsule wardrobe, it seems like I’ve changed what I wear quite a bit. I do still own most the clothes from last year although I haven’t been wearing them recently. Many of the skirts need altering, and with the temporary closure of tailors, I decided to store the clothes away rather than looking at them every day.

No travel or anywhere to go makes this capsule feel demure so I’m looking forward to summer to mix it up a bit. Hopefully we will feel more freedom here in Germany and I think that will show in our fashion choices too.
