Oh phew.
The Oxfam Online Shop is a treasure trove of secondhand and vintage pieces that have been kindly donated by the public. They are sorted through, photographed and uploaded to the net for us to sit on our couches and buy. At first glance, I admit, it doesn’t look like anything special. However, I’ve heard often from fashionistas in the industry that it’s a gem. And I agree!
I admit I felt a little heartache when I read that Oxfam Online had decided to take their shop offline a few months ago. But they are back, although working with a reduced staff. This means it will take them a lot longer to send out orders so be patient. Go forth and browse the site. And if you do find a gem, buy safe in the knowledge that you are supporting an organisation that works hard to eradicate poverty worldwide.
