Secondhand summer dresses are a joy.
For decades summer dresses have been in vogue. Every season they fill they continue to fill the shops in droves. I found these two on Depop. They are perfect for those lazy summer days. Throw them on in the morning, and I’m ready for the day.
Polyester isn’t my favourite fabric, but I made an exception here. I usually don’t buy synthetic fibres as I end up feeling hot and bothered wearing it. However, there’s not much fabric in these dresses so it shouldn’t be an issue!
In terms of sustainability, I try not to buy polyester new, but I do on occasion, buy it secondhand. It needs cleaning more often that natural fabric. However, I wash them and hang them up, and they are good to go.
For searching on Depop or any other online secondhand shop; search wrap dress, summer dress or sundress. There’s probably lots to choose from, especially if you look just before summer. Sorry I’ll remind you next year!
So I’ve been wearing these two secondhand summer dresses the past few weeks to embrace summer.
I treasure the warm days. The hotter, the better. Although not at night, I’m not a sadist.
Maybe I should move someplace hot and just wear these all year..
