I’m currently sitting on my balcony as I type this. Wondering if summer came early because it is sooo hot. No complaints here! If it is sunny where you are you might be thinking of pulling out your summer clothes. Often when I do this, I find the clothes I packed away can look a little rough. Especially if they weren’t the best quality to begin with.
Second-hand shopping can be an excellent way to pep up your wardrobe without buying all new. This thrifted Thursday, I’ve chosen the outfit I would ideally be wearing today. All using secondhand and vintage finds.
First up is this dress from Oxfam. I’ll be honest Laura Ashley isn’t quite my style but I really like this dress. It is perfect for summer and looks like its from the 90’s which is a big trend right now. It is made from 100% cotton which means it will breathe, definitely a plus in the hot weather!
Next are these vintage sandals from Etsy. I could see me wearing these all summer, they look great as well as comfy.
This morning, I looked out my summer hat. But if you need a new one, there are plenty to be found on Etsy. I particularly like this one. The caption says it is from the 1960’s but you can still find hats like this on the high street today.
Staying with the 90’s vibe, I’ve picked out this black backpack. I think it would look great with the dress, infact it would probably look great with most outfits. A basic item like this bag is good to have in your wardrobe if you are trying to live with less. I have a similar one and wear it almost every day.
And finally, this brass and copper bracelet. In the hot weather I usually keep jewellery to a minimum, so this cuff would be perfect.
